The Peruvian chicken (Halal) tamal is a gem of traditional cuisine that brings together flavor, history, and the warmth of family. Made with a soft dough of ground corn seasoned with yellow chili pepper, garlic, onion, and spices, this tamale is filled with tender pieces of Halal chicken, seasoned with that unmistakable criollo touch so characteristic of Peru.


It’s carefully wrapped in banana leaves and steamed until it reaches a firm yet fluffy texture, releasing an irresistible aroma. When served, it’s perfectly complemented by Uchu8’s signature touch: pickled red onions paired with cilantro and chili-infused oils, adding a delicious contrast to the tamale’s rich, creamy flavor.

    Heating instructions:
    Do not open the vacuum-sealed bag in which the tamal is packaged.
    Heat the tamal for 20 minutes in boiling water or in a steamer. Then it will be ready to enjoy!

    Storage tips:
    Do not open the vacuum-sealed bag in which the tamal is packaged.
    This helps keep the tamal in perfect condition for up to 5 days in the refrigerator.

    Delivery Schedule

    • We deliver throughout the Netherlands on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
      Orders placed on other weekdays will be delivered on the next Tuesday or Thursday.
    • On Saturdays and Sundays, we deliver only in Den Haag, Voorburg, Rijswijk, and Delft.

    Order Cut-off Times

    • Orders placed before 08:00 AM on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, or Sunday will be delivered the same day between 5:00 PM and 9:30 PM.
    • Orders placed after 08:00 AM will be delivered on the next available delivery day (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, or Sunday) between 5:00 PM and 9:30 PM.
