Hello

Hello! My name is Milagros Méndez, I am 40 years old and I am a multicultural woman with character, self-taught and with a deep passion for cooking. Throughout my life, I have had the opportunity to immerse myself in different cultures, which has enriched my way of seeing the world and, of course, my way of cooking.

I consider myself a person who is constantly learning, as cooking has taught me to be creative and to find beauty in the small details. I love experimenting with new ingredients and flavors, and one of my favorite hobbies is creating new recipes that can surprise and delight those around me.

Outside the kitchen, I enjoy riding my bike, as it is a perfect way to unwind and feel free. However, my true life companions are my kitchen knives, with which I have a special connection, as they allow me to transform ingredients into true culinary works of art.

In short, this is my tamale project, an adventure I undertook because I am simply in love with Peruvian cuisine. The flavors, tradition, and cultural richness of Peruvian gastronomy have always captivated me, and now I want to share them with everyone through my tamales, which are made with all my love, dedication, and passion to offer the best of our cuisine.

Why Uchu8?

In the Andes Mountains, where fresh air and traditions mix with history, Uchu was born, a company with a clear purpose: to bring the best of Peruvian gastronomy to every table, taking care of the health of its consumers.

Uchu is not just a name, it is a promise. "Uchu", a word of Quechua origin, means chili pepper, the soul of Peruvian cuisine. And like chili pepper, Uchu is characterized by its passion, its unique flavor and its authenticity. In our company, tamales are not just food, they are an expression of our culture, of our dedication, of the connection with our origins. But Uchu is not satisfied with just offering flavor; we want to offer well-being. That is why each of our tamales is made with care and dedication and within our variety of tamales we want to offer you organic and halal options of the highest quality, so that each bite is an experience that not only delights the palate, but also takes care of you.

From the first tamale that came out of our kitchen, we put our soul into each recipe. We use the best chili peppers, because we know that they are the heart of Peruvian gastronomy. Our tamales don't just have chili peppers, they have the soul of Uchu: a mix of tradition, respect for quality and commitment to well-being.

Each flavor we offer in our tamales is a unique recipe, carefully and lovingly thought out, so that each of our customers can enjoy an unparalleled culinary experience. At Uchu, we don't just sell tamales, we sell a piece of history, of land, of family. We sell the soul of Peru, wrapped in dough and flavor.

Because, at Uchu, what really matters to us is that, when you try our tamales, you feel like you are doing it with your heart.
